Welcome to the Northampton Vineyard: Experience the life you never knew you always wanted

Our Story

Core Values and Dreams

1. Honest, Hope-filled, Fun place to Encounter Jesus

  • to be a place where people are encountering God (often for the first time)
  • to be a community where people are experiencing the life-changing power of Jesus in real and concrete ways
  • to be Biblically inspired and Holy Spirit driven in all we do
  • to offer honest, relevant, and practical teaching and worship services

Psalm 27:13
I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the Living.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

2. Worship and the Arts

  • to worship God in spirit and in truth
  • to value the arts and share our gifts, talents, and creativity with others
  • to be a birthing place of new music, stories, and art
  • to create an arts center that provides opportunities for low-income people to gain dignity through challenging, creative work and experience the transforming power of God

John 4: 23-24
It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before him in their worship. God is sheer being itself – Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.

3. Restoration and Healing

  • to facilitate the healing work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, spirits, bodies and minds
  • to honor whole, healthy relationships and the reconciliation of broken relationships
  • to lovingly serve our community, restoring hope to the hungry and brokenhearted.
  • to create a non-profit community farm where privileged and underprivileged come together to grow and share food, and worship God.

Isaiah 58
If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk, 10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
11 The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.
12 Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

4. Changed Lives

  • to provide the space, tools, and support for each person to grow into the person God made them to be
  • to encourage each other to discover our dreams and passions
  • to live in the freedom from shame and fear offered by Jesus
  • to help people to experience the life they never knew they always wanted

John 1
But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said, he made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. (MSG)

John 10:10b
I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of. (MSG)

5. Change the World

  • to empower people to follow the dreams God gives them
  • to be a part of positive social change in our community and the world
  • to positively impact our community through music, stories, art, and healing
  • to be a catalyst for starting new churches around the world

Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
